Kind of a privotal email of sorts for Space Elevator Teams #123 and #133 from 2005. Ultimately this suggestion was acted upon by the 2 team leads and a merged team focused on developing a Stirling Heat Engine Solar Dynamic (SD) approach was created. A lot of work was also done on Photovoltaic (PV) ‘backup’ climbers as well since both power sources still required a similar ground control station and on-board control electronics.
